Valentines Day & Disneyland with Friends

On Valentines during the day all the kids and I went to Sam's Club for groceries. Let me just say it's been a long time since I've been grocery shopping with all of them. After that trip I remembered why I usually only go with 2 or less. 1 big mishap during the shopping trip was a gallon of milk getting dropped on the ground, breaking open and spilling everywhere. Positive out of this was that we were still at the store so I didn't have to clean it up and was able to get another one right away.
About 3:30 we went to pick up th
e babysitter (Kaitlin) , Becca ended up coming too for a little while. I realized I miss calculated when Jim got off work so I was going to be late. My original plan was to go to Disneyland and go dancing like we used to, but Jim called earlier in the day and told me how busy it was and to see if I could think of something else.
So we went to the new Garden Walk shopping & entertainment center. We checked the directory to see what they had because we ha
d never been there before and decided to eat at Johnny Rockets. We got onion rings and fries and and the guy brought us ranch and ketchup (with a smiley face) to dip. They had a deal at Johnny Rockets that you could get movie tickets for the theater next to it for $7 each with your meal purchase, so thats what we did. It was nearly 2 hours till movie time so we went to get ice cream at Marble Slab Creamery where we know the owners. Since Jim works in foods and has his whole time at Disneyland he was interested in seeing the back, so Troy one of the owners took us back and showed us around. I ended up getting a creation that had chocolate mint ice cream with andes mints mixed in inside a waffle bowl. It was a good thing the movie didn't start for a while because I got to take my time and finish my super yummy ice cream. The movie we saw was Coraline, but a warning to all you parents it's not really a movie for kids. True to Tim Burton style it was very interesting.
So after nearly a month I am finally posting about Valentines Day!

Monday 2-16 I had plans to go to Disneyland with a neighbor friend who has helped me out a lot and Maryn and Jamie Greathouse but I woke up early and heard the rain. I wasn't going to let the rain ruin my plans. I convinced Jim to keep Joseph (it was his day off) and my neighbor didn't want to go in the rain because they hadn't gotten a hold of me the night before, so they didn' t know if we were still going and weren't ready. So it was a rainy adventure at Disneyland for just the mommies and the girls. It was fun to not have to have a stroller with me or a diaper bag. Princess AJ and I were both jumping in puddles - something I usually tell the kids not to do. Our pants and socks were soaked when we got home.
Jamie got us soup in bread bowls for lunch and later hot cocoa. We also went in the cool lobby of the Grand Californian. It was a fun day in the rain! here's the pics.
