Princess AJ ,the Eye Dr. appt., an unfinished book and the Library.

Also on Monday Princess AJ had an Eye check up to see how she was doing with her new prescription she got over the Summer.
We started reading a book while waiting for the Dr., but didn't have to wait too long so we didn't finish the book. ( The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza) I told Princess AJ we could call some
of her friends when got home and see if they wanted to go to the Library with us. We ended up meeting her friend Raylee and Maryn there. The Librarian helped us find the book and Princess AJ also found another one that we had started in the waiting room at the Dr.'s office. It was a fun time with friends. We plan to go to the library more often.

Annual Back to School Disneyland Trip.

The past couple of years, a couple of weeks into the new school year I'll take the kids to Disneyland since we really don't go during the Summer (blocked out, crowds).
This year it was a bit tricky to plan because I am babysitting and the big boys have soccer practice M-Th. Well I wanted to go Friday, but with getting ready for a busy Saturday that didn't work out. So on Monday I was thinking about it... I talked to JimDaddy and he agreed to call Jack's coach to tell him he wouldn't be at practice.
After a little bit of homework was done we headed out
, telling the kids that we had a surprise...of course they tried to guess. By the time we got close 3 of them were asleep.
We did quite a bit considering the short amount of time we had to do it in...DCA closed @6pm and Disneyland closed @8, we didn't get into a park until about 4:30. 1st thing they wanted to do was go on the new Toy Story Mania ride. Baby J. went on for the first time since when we went to the cast preview in June they wouldn't let him ride because they said he had to be able to sit on the seat by himself.
Of course we at dinner at , where else?...Pizza Port. As we were get
ting ready to sit at our table I thought I saw an actor get up from the table next to us , JimDaddy saw him too...but also could not put a name with the face. Later while riding Star Tours a name popped into my head-Jason Bateman. I looked him up on the internet yesterday, but since I don't have a picture to go by just my memory, I can't be sure.
Even the manager of the restaurant didn't know he was there.
As you can see we did Star Tours...also Buzz Lightyear and finally Game Boy had been asking to go on the Teacups for some reason. At first Princess AJ didn't want to go on the Teacups, she was going to stay with me and watch. We found a spot to watch then she decided she wanted to go on...so I passed her over the fence to JimDaddy when he went to get a teacup with the bigboys.
What a fun family night!

No Camping , but Still Fun.

Friday 9/12, when most of the Beach Ward family was camping out (having such a great time, which I am jealous of) we were at home getting ready for early soccer games & reffing the next day.
About 6pm we get a phone call, JimDaddy answered and I heard the name Bill, I thought it was his friend Bill from his softball team, but it wasn't. It was counselor in the bishopric-Sunday ride giving-Angels baseball season ticket holder Bill offering tickets to the game that night. He has been very generous with his tickets this season when he couldn't go (this was the 4th time, I think). Thanks again Bill.
So , of course Jim accepted the tickets for me, but who would go with me?
JimDaddy didn't want to go...I didn't want to go with only myself and kids...not enough tickets for all of us... so I called our "Great" friends, forgetting about the ward campout.
Since nobody from the ward could go, I call my big bro ErictheRed who lives in Mission Viejo & my younger brother lives there now too. They said they would go.
It was me , my bro's that live in CA and Baby J.
The game was pretty good for a while...It was tied at 3 then in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs someone got walked, then the next guy comes up and smashes a walk-off homerun to the bullpens to win the game. Game over ...Fireworks Please!

1st Pair of Shoes

He's ready to play.

Last Thursday Baby J. got his 1st pair of shoes. I wasn't planning on buying shoes because he has 2 older brothers, but the bag of old shoes that I had saved I thought I gave to Butterfly Gram-ma to store at her house because we were running out of space to store stuff. She looked in her garage, but couldn't find them. They may have been given away with other stuff that went to charity. So, Gram-ma actually gave us the money to buy the shoes. Baby J. is a full fledged walker now , no more holding on to stuff (very often), so he needed the shoes. He didn't like walking with the shoes on at first, but he did get used to them. He hasn't worn them too much yet...they did come in handy at his brothers soccer games this past Saturday on the wet & muddy grass.

Soccer

Soccer season has officially begun. The big boys had their 1st games this past Saturday. I didn't get to watch both because the times were too close together, but they had fun. They were both able to get # 3 again this season (JimDaddy's favorite , being passed down.)
Team names are - Black Lightning & Green Eagles

So the kids are back to school...HOORAY! GameBoy is in 4th grade and SuperDashMan is in 1st. They went back last Wednesday and so far school is good.
Thursday Princess AJ , Baby J and I went to the school for Princess AJ's pre-school orientation. We walked to Wal-mart 1st and got Princess AJ a backpack and some new
closed toed shoes. We were so hot and sweaty, we got a big slurpee to share on the way home. Friday was Princess AJ's 1st day of school. That's her friend Carissa, her mom and I work in PTA together. Princess AJ's b-day and Carissa's are only a week apart. She's been a little hesitant everytime I've dropped her off , but hasn't cried. She really likes the assistant teacher and that makes it easier. I know she'll like it when I get to stay to work in the class.

Guess who else is happy to have
those 3 in school?

We played a Mommy n' me game of hide & seek on Princess AJ's 1st day of school.

I love the laughter when he finds me.

That was the best picture I could get , because he was always coming at me.

What can you do with a Heritage Makers poster?

Here's what I did...now all I need is a frame.

I Guess I Can't Call Him Baby J Anymore

Wow!
I can't believe it. My Baby J turned 1year old on Sunday, August 31st. What a year it has been. Now he's walking pretty well and soon all of his brothers and sister will be at school, which means he will get to play freely without people in his face, taking away toys, knocking him over, or picking him up and playing with him like he was the toy.

I wish I could freeze time ... actually I can, it's called taking pictures like crazy!

The party went well. We had the sister missionaries over, family and 1neighbor family (Baby J's friend).

I was a little stressed at first trying to get stuff ready, but lots of people helped out...especially JimDaddy. After the party JimDaddy was a cleaning machine and I didn't have to do anything except get the kids in bed. It was fantastic!
Thanks so much JimDaddy! I love You!
